What does a credit card cost annually?

An annual fee is a charge imposed by credit card issuers for the ownership and use of specific cards. This fee is typically payable once every year, although some issuers may offer the option to pay it in monthly installments. The amount of the annual fee can vary significantly depending on the type of card and its associated benefits. While certain cards may have relatively low annual fees starting from around $35, others might come with higher fees that could reach $500 or even more.

The purpose of an annual fee is to cover the costs incurred by credit card companies in providing various features and services to their customers. These features often include rewards programs, travel perks, insurance coverage, concierge services, and other exclusive privileges that enhance the overall value proposition of owning a particular credit card. By charging an annual fee, issuers are able to offset these additional expenses while still offering attractive benefits to their customers.

Consequences of withdrawing 10000 from SBI credit card

If you withdraw ₹10,000 using your SBI Credit Card, a withdrawal fee of 2.5% or ₹500 will be charged. Therefore, in this scenario, you would need to pay ₹500 as the cash withdrawal fee.
